Comparing flight schools isn’t as simple as comparing the advertised price.
The FAA establishes minimum flight hour requirements for each certificate and rating. These minimums represent the least amount of training a student may complete under ideal circumstances. While they are an important benchmark, the reality is that most students require additional training to develop the proficiency, confidence, and consistency needed to earn their certificates.
Some flight schools base their advertised tuition on these FAA minimums. While this can result in a lower advertised price, it may not reflect what many students ultimately invest to complete their training.
